Neighbour hit me, I have video

Neighbours have been harrassing me, a woman, for many years. The wife shouts insults and threats, the man sits half clothes watching the lift area all day and keeps staring even when I go out to put garbage. The wife started getting more aggressive and started physically blocking my way, trying to bump into me and shouting coming close to me. I never say a single word back. I have video proof of them doing all this, after I complained to police, the man hit me and his whole family tried to rob my phone from me to erase proof. Now it's at court stage and finding it hard to find an ethical lawyer. Some are trying to get as much money as possible, that it's also fine but some have clearly spoken with the other party who have police influence on their side and the lawyers are trying to play a double game. So I need some questions answered by neutral people -

1. The opp party summons in court is 10 days prior to mine. (Police put fir on both instead of just on me after higher authority intervention). Should I also go to that hearing? The police did not take my proof or statement. Can the court dismiss their case without my presence ?
2. I did some self defence to protect my property that's all( I was surrounded by 3 men and a woman trying to rob me) I don't want to go into details but I can prove self defence, I have video of full incident. This self defence has been added as a case against me. Can't this be dropped before trial?
3. I have video of them harrassing me from inside their house ( name calling , threatening with false cases, men staring and coming close to the door to stare more , physical intimidation etc) . So some lawyer is saying I can't take video of their house. But Im not taking video of their house... Their door is always open and visible from lift area and they are always sitting there harassing me and noting my coming and going and also stopping visitors from my house and staring at and questioning them. I am taking video of their harassment, and they are harassing me from inside their house. What else can I do? Without these videos, they would have long put case on just me and all my family. The lawyer is telling me not to show or talk about the video. That it makes me looks bad. But I have video of the man hitting me, his son snatching my property etc.. lawyer is saying I provoked by taking video and is not talking about a man hitting a woman. He is saying my case is worse than theirs because I took videos.
