Ten hour war

This is my first time through classic and I was wondering what to expect for the ten hour war before the gates open.

I didn’t participate in the scepter quest lines but it seemed like you can get a decent amount of brood of noz rep from the ten hour war event.

What’s the best way to optimize on this event? Largely for the purpose of getting as much rep as possible?
