Crosslisted today

If you're listed in Southern California, you know that it's a long wait for a deceased donor kidney. I had a few people start the process of evaluation for being a living donor, but no one made it through. I've now been listed for 3.5 years, and on PD for 10 months.

I got crosslisted in Arizona (Mayo) today. I submitted the form for transferring my wait time and am now waiting for UNOS to process it. I feel way more hopeful now that it is very likely that I will get a kidney much sooner than 4 years from now. PD is going OK -- I only need it 3 nights a week for now. There's a lot I still want to do in this life, and I have my fingers crossed that I'll get the chance to have that extra time.
