It’s my Birthday

It’s currently 6.36pm and it’s my birthday. This year it’s just been like every other day, it doesn’t feel special. I treated it like any other day, went to work, poured myself into others, met everyone else’s needs over mine, supported everyone else. Kept my birthday a secret form most people. Today I’m really sad! Today I’m really lonely! Today is the day I feel your absence the most! Each time my phone goes off I secretly hope it’s you. I think I hope more that you actually remember it’s my birthday instead of the alternative … you forgot or it’s that insignificant you don’t remember. Today is my Birthday and I miss you the most
