Does climate affect your asthma?
Ive noticed when I travel to certain climates my Asthma tends to take a turn for the worse especially if I travel to drier climates. I'm from New York and my asthma is easily managed there and I do best with the warm and humid air in the summer. In the winter I only have issues with extreme cold which is fairly uncommon here. Yet when I travel to California my asthma gets much worse. Its as if the air is so dry it sucks the moisture from my airways. Especially in San Francisco where its chilly and foggy yet the air feels very dry since it doesn't rain in the summer. The difference is so noticeable it makes me afraid to travel since im not sure if ill have an attack abroad and end up in the hospital dealing with a foreign health care system. I was planning to travel to Spain next spring but now im not so sure given it has a similar climate.
