I built a Bluesky growth tool from scratch — now at $60 MRR and giving /r/buildinpublic users 3× daily follows 🚀

I’ve been building a small growth tool for Bluesky, it’s a auto follow/unfollow system that helps people grow their audience more efficiently.

The fact that Bluesky's data is open, and free APIs made me really want to try something.Everyone was making analytics tools, but I remember how well owlead worked for me on twitter, and wanted to recreate it for Bluesky. I developed it with Next.js, shadcn, v0, added Stripe for payments, and just kept iterating. After some feedback and a few cold DMs, I now have a handful of paying users and recently hit $60 MRR 🎉

The good thing is that I can now use to auto-promote itself. The first of my projects that I actually market properly. And it works..

The tool normally follows ~33 people/day (within rate limits), but I’d love to help more early users and learn from you all. So if you DM me with your Bluesky handle, I’ll bump your follow rate to 100/day for free.

• Automatically follows accounts (followers of specified profiles)
• has positive and negative keyword filtering
• Unfollows after X days if no follow back (or always)
• Has simple analytics (more coming)
• Works entirely in the background once set up
