EDT guy looking to move up,what EDP samples should I try before buying my first full bottle?

Location : Dubai (hot, humid summers and mild winters)/India (Mix of Hot/Warm Summers with humidity and mild winters)
Occasion : Office
Scent : Have used mainly citrus - open to trying others excepting oud(feels too heavy)
Bugdet : upto AED 1500

What I need help with

1. Which EDPs would suit my preferences (designer and niche)
2. Any shops in Dubai which sells 2-5 ml EDP samples
