New Artist : How to get over the 'fear' of messing up artwork?
As the title suggests - I'm a very new artist and truth be told, I don't have much skill or talent in this field. I constantly find myself painting on a blank canvas, or in my sketch book with paint markers, getting to a point and stopping for the day. When I return to the canvas, I struggle to start because I'm blocked by this "fear" of ruining it, even though I may not have even had direction before and was just tossing paint(figuratively) at the canvas.
I deeply enjoy painting and want to continue but this constant roadblock keeps me from finishing any work I start.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and really what helped you get over it?
