Parental Involvement Activity Concern
National Day is around the corner.
I am planning a small parental involvement activity for my preschoolers' class but unsure whether parents are ok with it.
I have spare tissues and biscuits at home so I was thinking of letting my children pack a plastic of dry tissue and biscuit, and they decorate a 'thank you' card and pack everything together.
The parental involvement part is where i get my children's parents to assist in letting them pass the 'care pack' to any workers like cleaners, bus drivers, doctors, the unsung heroes of Singapore they saw as a way to thank them for contributing to Singapore. They can also choose to give to their parents/ relatives as well.
But my colleagues said they're all sticking to celebration in class where they only sing and dance and I'm being too over with this. I just want to make it more meaningful with my current class this year.
What do you think? Am I overly ambitious? Should I still proceed? :(
