Singing, Arts and Thelema
Hello! So i am an active thelemite, open to all approaches of magick, practice, and faith, and was wondering how i could pursue acts of conscious magick or thelemic practice in my day to day life. Particularly, I am apart of a choir and actively a singer. Is there anything i could do to incorporate my faith into anything I do? I was thinking of consciously directing all hymnals we sing to praise my HGA, but is there any rites I could do before or (somehow) during choral performances or practice to invoke magick in my life in some way? I was thinking of seeing our songs as Liber Resh adoration type stuff and seeing if that drew me closer to K&C, even in some small way.
Recently we performed a song that brought me to tears (Loch Lomond), and I thought how potent this moment of genuine awe and emotional movement could be in rites of magick, and how this experience could genuinely be similar to a sort of HGA-like experience.
Thoughts? Advice? Even some UPG? Anything is much appreciated.
