Can't do Socials

Hello!

I've been a wedding photographer for thirteen years now and of course, things have changed!

I'm at a point in my life where my son has left school, I'm 37 and I'm just ... so done with social media. It is so performative and it really does feel like you have to be extroverted or constantly online to be seen.

It also feels as though everyone's work looks the same and I don't understand this!? Why does everyone want their (what I believe) artistic work to look the same?

Even now we are at the point where couples are so rude and don't reply to you at the time of booking even through to sending the galleries even though I am warm and open and do send those emails.

Love the weddings, what they mean and how we can be creative within them. I almost feel now that I am protective of my couples - and I don't want to even share their day because it's private.

I'm just in a real funk - it's normal now and then but to be honest this is the first time I just want to pack social media in. And no - I'm too stubborn (and sole trader so can't afford) to hire someone to do it for me!

Just need some encouragement people!
