Looking for social advice

Hi Fam!

I am a baby king from Europe, and I came here for advice and to connect!

The thing is, I'm really afraid because in my country we don't have even one drag king (I'm from a small one, with a flourishing queen culture :D). We had one King once, but he disappeared many years ago. I do have a drag mother, she helps me with makeup, but still I feel a bit alone/lost, especially because I never even saw one king in real life before. Because we don't have one right now. 🥹

I'm just generally anxious on how the local drag scene full of queens will receive me, and the audience also, who, chances are didn't see a king in their life either. I came for some advice from fellow kings and just generally some connection, haha. I'm more afraid of the social part of this than the performance: I've been a theatre kid my whole life, I'm used to stage, even though it's a humbling experience doing even any practice in front of the mirror in drag, especially with makeup (which I never did before except a cateye when I was 16 lol). Do you have any advice for a baby king like myself maybe about how to integrate to a scene of full of queens, minimalizing the gossiping and/or possible toxic things? I'm really not a person like that. (I don't want to sound like I think queens are generally toxic, bc that's not what I think! I just already heard that it's possible I'll have problems like this. And I want to avoid that. 😬)

Thank you so much friends! And drop your Instas! :D I don't have one yet, as I'm not decided on a name yet. :D
