Nail salon recommendations.

Hi this is a long shot: I’m visiting my boyfriend who’s in the hospital with cancer in Montreal. He has a thing for long fake nails, which I’ve never done because I keep mine natural, but i compromised and grew out my natural ones, but before I came up here I was gardening a bunch and broke a few so they are short and boring. He’s been having a rough time with his leukemia treatment, and is sleeping a lot during the day, so I’d like to go and get my nails done the way he likes them to surprise him. Just a little thing to help his spirits. Anyway, my nails are weak and I’d still like to grow them back out, so I want the best extensions to protect the natural ones so they can grow, which I think are Gel x nails, but the couple salons I called said they only do acrylics. My French is not good enough to explain. So if you have a recommendation for a good place, or even a private tech who could maybe fit me in in the next few days, I’d be really greatful. I’m at the Jewish General hospital, but am also going to St, Catherine. So ideally around either of those places.
