Tail light bulb connector/blinker issues on ‘07 Ford Edge

So I’ve recently been having some issues with my left tail light on my 2007 ford edge, for a while the turn signal would go from flashing fast (which normally indicates a bad bulb afiak) to going back to normal. Eventually it was just flashing fast, and the turn signal was not working, and neither were the brake lights. HOWEVER, when my lights are on the bulb still works. I had a mechanic inspect everything today, electrical systems and all, and after a little bit of troubleshooting he determined that the connector piece for the bulb was bad (it was very visibly burnt), but after a bit of finesse he was able to make the bulb start flashing again for the turn signal. I was told that when the bulb was pushed in all the way here that it was causing a faulty connection in which the turn signal would not work, but after loosening it a bit it worked just fine. The mechanic told me to replace the connector piece and it should be fine; after 1 auto zone trip for a brand new connector piece I replaced the new connector, put in the same bulb and boom, same exact problem still happening. Again the bulb STILL works just fine, but the new connector piece did not seem to resolve the issue at all, as the signal is not working nor the brake lights. I tried loosening it like the mechanic showed me as well and nothing. Should I just wait a bit to see if it resolves itself or could something else be the problem?
