Which brand of washer is the best one to buy? I'm sick of buying ones that don't stay balanced

I'm picky and my washers must be a top loader with an agitator. So far the new ones I have purchased will not stay still and keep getting unbalanced. And I'm pretty sure that it's the actual balancing mechanism in these new ones that is causing this issue. I ended up buying the part my old washer needed from the earlier 2000s and I'm back to using that one for now. And I have to say it's better than any new washer I've had. I'm wondering if I'm purchasing the wrong brands or what's going on? Maybe I need to purchase a higher priced one? Any recommendations?
