masking

I need support - advice welcome

so i’m physically disabled (hEDS and some other things) and i follow a lot of people in that community. i enjoy this because it’s nice to feel not so alone when dealing with chronic illness and disability.

but recently it seems like the only thing people post about is how if you don’t wear a mask 24/7 whenever you leave your house, you’re ableist and and a bad person. i mask when i’m in doctors offices, public transport, or when i’m sick and leaving the house is unavoidable (mostly i just stay home when sick) but i don’t do it all the time.

i have really bad sensory issues and heat intolerance from my meds so it’s difficult for me. i wore one constantly for a pretty long time, longer than most people did tbh, but now i don’t and the discussion around it in my circles online just makes me feel bad.

this has been a common moral ocd obsession for me lately. does anyone have any advice on dealing with this?
