A possible counter to fire/funny gag weapon

What if we had a fire extinguisher to combat the flamethrower and goo constantly getting set on fire? They could even use the same animation asset thingy as the powder canisters. It would be a recharge weapon instead of having a reload animation which would be throwing it away and getting a new one (i guess?) Do fire departments refill fire extinguishers?
