Moving to oregon

Hi everyone, I am moving to Hillsboro area in 2 months, any recommendations on must haves for the area? For example-do I need snow tires if so where should i get them? - etc. Also, any recommendations on places to eat, fun things to do, great hikes, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
