I just found out the hard way I need to buy a new switch to start a new island- really bummed out.

I’ve been going through a lot lately and Animal crossing is practically my comfort game. I don’t want to delete my current island, I just wanted to start a new one so silly me, I thought I’d buy a new game card. Well my husband bought a new one for me and I was really excited to start my new island today and I had the hard realization, it’s impossible to do this without buying an entire new switch. It’s really frustrating and disappointing that Nintendo does this. I remember back in the day where it was totally normal to buy a game console and switch game cards without issues. Now I’m sitting here just sad, realizing that capitalism wins once again and we truly have no ownership of nothing in this life. That’s it. That’s my ted talk. I just wanted to vent because I’m really sad lol.
