PC crashes 2-10 minutes into gaming

Tech Support

Hi all

Some quick context; I don't really play PC much anymore because of this problem I've been having. I think the most I've played was last summer when I played almost daily for a good 2-4 months

Whenever I am trying to play games on my gaming PC my screen and audio will freeze after 2-10 mins and stay frozen until I manually turn off the whole PC. My dad gifted me the whole setup 3 or 4 years ago and in that time frame this situation has happened once or twice but I have no idea how it got fixed. I can't remember when was the last time it happened before this, but it recently started again when I was trying to play GTA Online and it froze shortly after I had switched from a public session to a private session, and ever since then it's been happening with every single game I try to play. More recently it even got to the point where the system crashed and my monitor wouldn't even display my screen until I switched the cable from the main monitor port to one of the secondary monitor ports of the PC, but it just started freezing ~5 minutes into my gaming sessions again

For a while I was apparently behind on updates for my drivers, but now I install any update that's available every time I login

I'm not sure what it could be since I don't know anything about PC's, I don't talk much with my dad anymore, and I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it

Specs (according to the Nvidia app) since it probably matters:
