should i stay a explosion warlock or should i try to switch to a diffrent magic?

the problem is that explosion warlock has been kind of disapointing in pvp and pve the entire time but fun because who does not love a big explosion but damage and fighting wise its not as good as i always thought and i heard that esplosion magic in general is not that good, so i wanted to ask if i should stay loyal to my explosion warlock or try to find a hecate essence and change my magic? also if i change is there any magic i should try my best to avoid?
