can a monitor over heat?
So I turned my air conditioner off last night and woke up really hot.
my monitor was still working, turned on my ac used it for a bit, it was hot so I went to the store to let the room cool off. when I got back the room was still pretty hot and my monitor was turned off and I could not turn it on.
So I wet thru the typical troubleshooting checking plugs, wires and trying a reset with it off as the manufacture recommended. nothing worked, there was no power going to the monitor at all.
Since the monitor is less than 3 months old I opened up a warrantee repair ticket, I was getting ready to send it in.
So I went back to the store to buy a replacement monitor for the time being, then when I came back home the room is cooled off a bit and the monitor is now working.
When I was talking with support it hit me that it could have over heated , so I asked them if the monitor just over heated, they said probably.
So im just wondering if its normal for a monitor to act like this when it over heats, is it typical for this monitor to over heat? my other 2 older 1080p monitors did not turn off at all.

tldr: room got hot, monitor had no power until room cooled off, then started working again.
Can this monitor over heat? Is this normal?
