Uhh, I'm 99% sure I just saw a Japanese giant hornet in nyc

I know these things are not native here of course, and I definitely don't fucking want 'em to be. But I was outside on my patio and I saw what I thought was a dragonfly. I was curious, so I approached it to get a better look, and it was a HUGE wasp looking insect that was the splitting image of a Japanese giant hornet. I mean, it was identical to every picture I've looked up.

I don't see anything about these being here in kc, and I totally hope I'm wrong, but I got really close and got a great look at it. Is there any insect that resembles these things native to kc? Anybody hear of anymore sightings? I promise I know what I saw and I'm very certain it fits the description of a Japanese hornet, although I recognize how unlikely this is as well.
