Tongue and Lip Tie Release

Feeding

Looking for input from people who have been in the same situation. We’ve been having trouble with feeding since my LO was born. She will be 7 weeks old on Monday. She had trouble latching which led to me basically exclusively pumping. When she drinks from a bottle, milk often pours out the sides and she clicks. She also seems very gassy, sleeps with her mouth open, has lip blisters, and only sleeps in short increments (max 2 hours). Took her to a pediatric dentist and said she has a mild tongue and lip tie. They can correct it with a laser but there’s no guarantee that it will correct her symptoms. Pediatrician diagnosed her with colic and said wouldn’t recommend release because she’s not having trouble gaining weight. They provided an anti-acid that we started yesterday which hasn’t made a difference yet. Looking for pros/cons of doing the release. Obviously don’t want to put her through an unnecessary procedure but open to it if it will help.
