My dog jumps on people and it bothers them a lot.

(I apologise for the bad english) i(18) have a german shepherd who’s really playful, but he plays rough most of the time. He’s a really sweet and smart but the problem is how he plays. (I live in a religious household so i cant bring him inside the house but he has his own room thats full of his needs. He is free to roam around the garden and stuff except the house inside and the porch).We had people come over multiple times although he’s not allowed to come inside the house or the porch but he’s so smart he even can open doors. We had him run away from the house to a children playground once thank god he’s playfull. SO the problem is sometimes when he hears people at the door he opens that and jumps all over them playfully. I get it they dont like that and i promise i did everything i could to prevent that, but when he does that some of them beat him and it hurts me and my dog (yeah i’ve cut them off) but im trying to fix this. How can i prevent him from jumping on other people?
