How important is EC's for engineering if you have good stats
I am in the top 7% of my class and have a 1570 SAT (Superscore is 800 Math + 780 Reading), and a perfect score on PSAT (so national merit semifinalist). I have a 5 on pretty much every single AP course, but I did NOT TAKE PHYSICS C. However, my ECs for engineering specifically are lackluster. I have good premed ECs, but I recently changed my mind to Biomedical Engineering, and my only engineering-related EC is robotics, which I was just a member in (not an officer or anything).
To my understanding, engineering is not included in the auto-admit policy, but assuming an early application (August), are great stats typically enough to outweigh mid ECs for engineering?
Thank you!
