Vallisneria Americana Question

Hi everyone. Just got Vallisneria Americana for my tanks. Most have fluval stratum, some have natural gravel. Do I need root tabs for these plants? I’ve never used root tabs and I’m not very experienced with proper aquarium plant care. Thank you in advance.
