After years of no contact my mother wants to gift me something, but my family thinks it's a trap

So a few years ago my mother deleted my number. The details are irrevelant but long story short i didn't visit her cuz another family member could've died. I haven't seen or heard from her since and i planned to keep it that way. Fast forward to two werks ago, i met her in a grocery store and she gave me a letter in which she wrote she wanted to give me money for a license (quite expensive in sweden) and a car. Furthermore she wrote that i do not owe her anything for it. My family thinks it's not a good idea to take the deal since she was agressive in the past when something didn't go her way and they fear she might demand something later and get physical when i deny her request. My big sister offered to pay for my license when she has got hers, but she already has a few hundred bucks debt and i'd still have no vehicle.

I don't know what to do now since i've been dreaming about and saving up for a car and license for years now because i hate depending on other people to get around. I live far from a city and there is basically no public transport, so a car is needed to get around.

What should i do guys?
