No progress in therapy.

Advice Wanted

I’ve been feeling dissatisfied with my sessions recently. I’ve been working through an avoidant attachment and all the trauma that caused it, yet I’ve been feeling like I haven’t been making much progress on this. I’m already a year in and haven’t really learned any coping or solution tactics. I’ve brought up feeling like I haven’t been making much progress, her answer was “You have been, it’s slow, but it’s there.” Besides I’ve been feeling like her advice has been rather superficial and realised she hasn’t been taking notes for the last six months. She doesn’t do any work after our session either because the next client immediately enters when my hour is over. apparently it’s strange therapists don’t do this. Do I communicate all this/ look for a different therapist or just handle stuff on my own by reading books aimed at my issues?
