Can we ignore these Starship cameos? (question, not complaining)
There are some starships that I felt should have just been ignored and left out, because the cameo or easter egg just handcuffs future writers and adds nothing to the franchise. Keep in mind, there will be spoilers for the streaming shows.
The Enterprise-F cameo was pointless, just make it the Enterprise-E. The Titan-A didn't need to be renamed, leave the next Enterprise a mystery like how Generations ended.
Did we need the Voyager-B "easter egg" in Picard S3? It's saying the Voyager-A is destroyed or retired before it ever shows up on Prodigy. Can't the Voyager-A run its course before we stalk talking Voyager-B?
It's mostly just Enterprise and Voyager cameos and easter eggs that I found buggy. What about you guys? Are there any starship cameos that you felt were kind of pointless?
To keep the discussion balanced, feel free to note cameo and easter egg ships you did like, even if others such as myself didn't like them. I will go first with a positive: I absolutely 100% LOVED the Defiant cameo in First Contact. It worked perfectly given it was designed to fight the Borg, it's a DS9 ship, Worf's the 1st Officer and sometimes temp. Captain, and the Borg are in the movie, it's like, how could you not? I saw the movie in the theater when I was 12. This was one of my favorite scenes and still is.
Your turn!!!!
