Pedestal on Dryer that’s NOT front facing a good idea?

Hi, I want to buy an LG dryer that’s NOT front facing, but I want it raised up a bit so I don’t have to bend so much. The dryer is 27 inches, and LG sells a a pedestal for 27 inch dryers. Am I missing something about putting pedestals on dryers that are not front facing? Is there a functional problem with that? I don’t want to buy the pedestal than the installer says something like “this is not compatible and can’t be connected”. I would settle for the Whirlpool hamper door dryer but whirlpool customer service is even worse than LG. Any help would be appreciated.
