How do you pick a game to play?
Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed a recurring pattern in my gaming habits and I wonder how others handle it.
My mood for games changes constantly. One day I feel like diving into a complex strategy title, the next I want a big-budget cinematic AAA experience, and then I switch to craving a chill point-and-click adventure. Because of this, I often start a lot of games but rarely finish them.
As an adult with a full-time job and responsibilities, my gaming time is limited – so when I finally find a window to play, I want to make it count.
But I get stuck choosing the “right” game for the moment, and that decision fatigue sometimes eats up the time I could’ve spent actually playing.
I’m curious:
- How do you decide what to play next?
- Do you finish every game no matter what, go through a set backlog list, or just follow your mood?
- Does the time requirement of a game (long session vs. short burst) affect your decision too?
Would love to hear your strategies and thoughts!
