Can an organized movement led by Atheists help repeal the apostasy laws that persecute irreligious people living in Islamic regimes?

Hey there! I am a long time lurker in this sub, and thought I should chime in to speak about something that unsettled me for a long while; why isn't there an organized effort from the Atheist and irreligious community to repeal the apostasy laws that persecute atheists in Islamic regimes? In those regimes, just saying you don’t believe in God can get you killed. People are forced to stay quiet or live double lives since they fear societal reprisal and mob lynching, and I have seen mixed reactions from the community when I bring the subject up. Some do not condone it, but are fairly indifferent to what is happening, whilst some feel really miserable thinking about it. Many Humanist and Secular organizations do not receive enough donations, and are not the average civilian's first choice to contribute to, since many people are not aware to what extent the persecution of atheists carries on. Religious folk can hide behind the guise of freedom of religion when they are being questioned about their beliefs, but atheists are not given the same liberty. Will these laws ever be repealed if atheists organize a huge movement, is it even realistic to get all the atheists to fight for the liberation of irreligious individuals residing in Islamic regimes?

Would love to hear others’ thoughts about this. Maybe I’m missing something, but it feels like a huge blind spot in the atheist community.
