I keep forgetting L1 AUGUST
Hi! I’m taking the Level 1 in August, and in my opinion, I’ve had a solid study preparation. I’ve been studying 3.5 hours daily since March, i finished the kaplan 1 month ago, and I was lucky to get through half of Fixed Income, Portafolio Managment and almost all of Derivatives in my finance classes at uni. I’ve been very methodical and have done close to 1,000 practice question in the practice question set, all the EOC questions, and 1.5 mocks so far.
Despite all that, I keep forgetting things from some topics. It’s really stressful because, for example, today I did a Bloomberg mock and saw questions in Derivatives and Alternative Investments that I knew well just a week ago—and I was staring at the question like, how is it possible to forget something I’ve already learned and reviewed so many times? I feel like a clown fish. Especially in Ethics—the questions are really tricky.
Also, the last 40–50 questions of the mocks are heavy. I was completely toasted at that point. I honestly thought about taking a 10-minute nap in plain sight and then continuing. I was reading the questions like a r*tard at the end (no offense intended).
So, how have you approached these problems, and what should I do to overcome this? Tips on reviewing formulas and how to revise the units properly? I scored 58% on the mock, but I feel that, considering all my study time and the effort I’ve put in, it’s below my target. Thx.
P.S.: I’m 21 years old, and I went to this essay organized by the society in this country. I had the opportunity to be with people who were all above my age, and I was thinking, HOW DO YOU STUDY THIS WHILE WORKING? That’s crazy work— shoutout to all the people who have that vitality power
