In-ho's hair

We have seen that while being in the games, In-ho has his hair over his forehead, similar to Sang-woo's hairstyle. However, whenever he is back being the frontman (both S1 and S3) he has his usual slick back hairstyle. It doesn't make sense why he'd change it when joining as a player, cause no one there knew how the frontman looks or who he actually was and that wouldn't hide his identity regardless. I initially believed it was a symbolic thing, to resemble Sang-woo and Gi-hun's friendship with him, which In-ho is trying to recreate. But after seeing In-ho's flashbacks in S3 when he was a player and had the same hairstyle, I changed my mind. It led me to believe it's again a symbolic act to resemble those times. And I came here to ask: Which theory is more likely in your opinion?
