Which Mechanical Engineering Path Pays Best Right After School?
Hey folks, I’m a mechanical engineering student. Originally, I was interested in biomedical engineering, but I chose mechanical since it’s broader and gives me more options. I’d still love to work on med devices or health tech if possible — but my main question now is:
Which mechanical engineering field tends to pay the best right after graduation? (Especially if you’ve done internships, built a decent portfolio, and want to hit ~$70K+ within 1–2 years.)
Appreciate any real-world insights from those already working, thanks in advance!
