Season 1 Episode 6
There’s this scene toward the end of S1e6 that I’ve rewatched countless times. It absolutely strikes something in me. I don’t know if it’s the acting or the content or both - but I find it to just cut to my heart. It’s the scene where Jesus is leaving the home of the paralytic, somewhat in a rush. Matthew hops down from his spot where he was watching and watches Jesus walk away. Jesus senses him and turns around. The way Jesus locks eyes with Matthew is so so beautiful. It reminds me Jesus knows each of us and calls us by name.
