Starting Investing At Over 50
Hi all,
Financially I seem to be in a pretty stable position. I think I am okay as far as future retirement goes.
I followed Dave Ramsey's plan to get out of debt year ago. However, I am curious about investing and honestly have no clue about where to begin but would like to try.
I am curious about stocks and would like to try my hand at investing in the stock market. I read somewhere that when starting out investing it is a good idea to follow the companies that match your personal interests. If this is the case for me that would be railroads, shipping, and airlines and agriculture.
I am willing to spend about $400 a month on stocks. Currently that is money I just put towards hobbies. TBH I expect I will lose money initially, but hopefully not.
Anyway any suggestions will be appreciated.
