I can't stop thinking about two words someone said to me yesterday.

NSFWI want to be a Mom

Yesterday at a social gathering, I was talking to a friend (m). He's a paramedic who loves being a hero and sharing stories about how he saved people in his line of work. He has a rather unusual way of telling stories. He uses second-person narration, giving the other person a role in the narrative. For example, instead of starting a story with, "I was driving to the scene of a rollover accident," he'd say, "You grazed the side of the road at an intersection, and your car flipped."

Anyway, one of the stories involved a pregnant woman. Because of the way he frames his stories in the second person, he started with, "You're pregnant."

No one had ever said that to me before (because I'm not pregnant and never have been), and I was surprised how powerfully those two words hit me. Suddenly, I desperately wanted this hypothetical situation to be real. My husband and I had talked about possibly trying for a baby, but I didn't realize how much the thought of pregnancy aroused me until yesterday when a friend decided to make me a pregnant character in his story. Now I can't stop thinking about getting pregnant. I often fantasize about letting my husband ejaculate inside me without protection, but now I'm also aroused by fantasies about the non-sexual aspects of pregnancy, like telling friends I'm pregnant and showing up at social events visibly pregnant. It's strange to feel aroused for these reasons. I hope others understand that too.
