Learning German by classic and modern poetry or litrature
I know German grammar up to the B2 level, but I’ve had no motivation to practice it since. The reason is that I only enjoy learning new languages when I’m taught through serious but simplified excerpts of poetry or literature—modern or classical.
What I’m looking for is a book that, in each chapter, teaches some grammar and vocabulary, and then provides simplified examples from well-known poets or writers. A good example of this approach in French was the book La France en direct.
I am looking for phrases such as : "Und wenn du lange in einen Abgrund blickst, blickt der Abgrund auch in dich hinein" in context of a language learning book.
Does such a book exist or I should return back to stupid modern books?
