Ex messaged me after 6 months

I met her family and her about 6 months ago and they were planning for engagement and marriage. Two weeks later we had a fight. We usually fight and then make amends like in a few days or weeks. The fight was over something really minor and I told her I don't want to talk to her right now. Nobody ever messaged or contacted each other again. I blocked her from everything except email 2 months ago because I realized maybe nothing was going to happen anymore.

The day after what was supposed to be the "anniversary" she emailed me and asked how is my mom because she had a dream about her and she missed my mom. They both barely spoke but she knows my mom did like her. I told her I thought of her yesterday (the day of the anniversary). She then asked how I was doing and what did I think about her yesterday. I then replied with just asking her if she is married and she replied with no she isn't.

What do you think is the point of her email? just ego validation?
