To those with 2 jobs, or who struggled with money and managed to work it out. How did you become financially free while working for the police?

I feel broke. I used to work as an electrician before joining as a 999 call handler and taking a huge paycut in the process. I've cut down my life style to try and make ends meet but am right on the edge of feeling broke.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation, and am aware that colleagues of mine struggle financially too.

For others who've experienced this situation, how did you all get through it, and if that involved secondary involvement, where did you find somewhere that works around your shift work?
