Medication running out at camp
I’m going to DCI at Rocky Mountain, which is four weeks long. I don’t have enough medication, and no place will refill it.
I phoned my regular place with the medication. I told them I’d pick it up on Saturday, which is today. I drove over an hour just to find out they’re closed all weekend. They never told me that, and I told him I was leaving for Alberta.
I’ve tried other pharmacies. I even brought my actual medication, but no place will fill it. Even though I’m short by just under a week.
Pharmacies keep saying they gave me enough until August, but the medication is birth control. I had to adjust when my period came, so I took the pills to skip my period and time it better. That’s a common thing women do, but the pharmacist still won’t refill my prescription.
Anyway, getting a bit off topic from the question, if I don’t have enough, can my parents either ship it to me or even fly out, pay for a ticket, and bring it to me?
I was talking with another cadet who’s having a similar issue. In their case, the pharmacist messed up and didn’t update the dosage, so they’re taking more now and ran out early. But their pharmacist also won’t let them refill the prescription again, and they also don’t know what to do.
