Cat won’t stop vomiting, feels like we have tried everything.

Hi everyone,

I have a 13 year old domestic long hair cat, she has been my cat since I was 10 and recently moved with me across Canada to start my master’s degree with me!

Here’s the problem, for about 8 ish months (she moved about a month ago), she has been vomiting every single day. It’s never food, it’s almost always bile and sometimes a small hairball (we try to brush her constantly because she is obviously super floofy).

I’ve been taking her to the vet constantly to try and figure this issue out, and nothing seems to be working. Doing that on a student budget after just having made a huge move is also admittedly not sustainable financially. We’ve tried special diets, done a billion blood tests which have all come up fine, and will be getting an ultrasound done soon. No one has answers and I’m not sure what to do.

She’s puking on our bed like every single day at this point and the problem is I just so genuinely cannot afford to wash sheets constantly. I’ve found giving her a small amount of pumpkin in her food helps a bit sometimes, but brings it to like 1 or 2 puke session/day instead of 5-6.

Also, other than the puking, she’s totally normal. She’s always been a sleepier cat, but since moving she is HIGHLY active and that doesn’t seem to trigger the vomiting. She doesn’t scarf her food down and eats small amounts periodically throughout the day. She’s also well hydrated, not overly or under from what I can tell. Normal litter box usage with no diarrhea or anything either. All of her food bowls are raised and angled.

Any suggestions for home remedies or easy to afford fixes would be useful if anyone has gone through something similar. We’ve tried maybe every single specialized food under the sun (hard/wet food) at this point and nothing seems to help. I just want her to feel okay :’)
