Gozyuger Movie

Hi everybody. Gozyuger is the first Sentai I’m watching as it airs. My question is two fold. How important is the plot of the movie to the rest of the show (would I be confused as to what’s going on in the show if I don’t watch the movie), and how long after the movie airs in Japan is it subbed and available for viewing?
