'Best Woman' Speech - Help?

Hi all,

I have been asked to be the Best Woman to the groom in lieu of a Best Man. The happy couple marry in just over a week, and I am yet to write a speech 😑 Although, in my defence, this has taken a back seat to finishing off assignments to complete my degree.

Now, I have been thinking of the speech for a while and have a couple of ideas, but as someone who typically hides in the ladies room during speeches, I'm not completely confident on how to approach it. I have read no end of ideas but most of these seem to be generic Best Man speeches or Maid of Honour speeches.

Has anyone here been a Best Woman, and can anyone give me some tips trills and other ideas to make sure my speech works?
