Cmv: Racism is growing in the west paradoxically due to universities.

Hey everyone, I wanna discuss à topic about racism thats is often not talked about and it’s the rise of racism in the west you might say yeah no shit but I think what is really not talked about it’s that it’s partially from academia.

First of all this is paradoxical because racism and the movements to end racism grew and became strong due to education showing that skin colour doesn’t define one’s personne and there are no difference between us apart from appearance, an appearance that doesn’t define who we are (unless you make it so we will touch that later).

However in the recent times especially with the rise of social media a lot of academic teaching has in my opinion exacerbated racism and normalised many formes racism

Education, especially in the early years of à human is the most crucial time as that is where most of their worldview is formed and where the “normal” state of things is put in place. Lets start with the fact in America people teache the existence of different “races” of people (the reason I say this is cuz this doesn’t exist worldwide) that some races of people have done horrible things in history etc etc…right off the bat people are divided based on lines that did not exist previously, it puts blame on people today that had nothing to do with the past also ignoring the fact that at the end of the day we are humans and we all think the same so it’s not like events in history are exclusive to a specific appearance of people. Right off the bat people are taught that instead of being human something we all share and scientifically are, we are “white” “black” this or that something that when you look at the definitions doesn’t really make any logical sense.

Also in university and academia people have often come up with agendas and social science theories that justify racism. Concepts like reverse racism, racism that is not discrimination based on skin colour or ethnicity but prejudice + power. Concepts of “white guilt or privilege” concepts that try to move away from critical theory and instead generalises.

take for example white privilege, does it exist? Obv yes privilege comes in any form however this concept in academia also says that all white people benefit from it, this is just false some people benefit from it more or less some don’t. Im sure the poor white person in a small town from west verginia is more privileged then a black guy from ny born to à rich family.

Oh and the concept of prejudice plus power of racism à definition of racism which says that à “race” dominates society and thus any race not part of the dominant one cannot be racist but instead it’s prejudice. à bs concept if you ask me à race is not a thinking entity its plenty of people some don’t have any power whatsoever. Racism isnt à system it can come under the form of one but racism at its core is not a system. This has led to many people justifying racism under the guise of “oh I can’t be racist Im not under the dominant race or man you people ruined and murdered everyone” etc etc…

This has also caused racism to rise from people that feel rejected by this, the rise of trump in America is partially à response to leftist agendas like this which also in turns causes racism to rise from that circle. In Europe it’s the same phenomenon where a lot of people feel rejected and lied to by this and so some turn racist and many vote right. Ofc there’s many other factors but it’s a real phenomenon and I don’t think we can ignore it.

The reason I say this is because I have experienced this myself, racism against white people is in many cases justified by left leaning agendas born from academia. The amount of times I have had my opinion blatantly dismissed because I was “white and so you cannot speak on those issues because you are privileged and ruined history” my own teacher straight up dismissed footage of a popular political leader in South Africa calling for white genocide and called it social revolting or whatever but not racism. BBC and many companies have openly admitted to say they discriminate against white people in their hiring same thing with affirmative action.

I personally feel like this form of discrimination has risen in the past few years because it is justified through social science and education which means the people perpetuating it genuinely believe what they are fighting is the good (this is exactly how hitler and many other genocides where justified in the past btw though education and a logic that can twist the truth to fit an agenda even when it doesn’t match reality basically im saying it’s double speak)

Right wing movements and more racism all accros tge west is partially à response to this (obv there are many factors and some countries have different reasons for it).

This is not to reduce or take away racism that happens against people that have black skin colour or others etc etc…thats not the point Im making here, the point Im making is that racism today is caused by a failure of academia that doesn’t teach us to judge by individuality and that we are all equal as humans. Instead it has been used to create division and justify racism who in turn has also caused more racism.
