Long-Term Damage from Overheating

Tech Support

Last night I left my Steam Deck in sleep mode while plugged in. It was on a hard surface and wasn't covered by anything, I've left it in the same conditions pretty much every night since I got it a few months ago with no issue. I woke up this morning to find the power light blinking red, the fans aggressively cycling on and off and the deck itself being warm to the touch and not turning on. I got it turning on again after checking for solutions here, unplugged it and put it in a different spot where I was sure it wouldn't overheat again. It seemed to be alright but I didn't have time to really make sure as I had to go to work. Just made sure I could turn it on and navigate the main menus. Has anyone else who's had this happen noticed any long term problems afterwards? Are there any tests I can run? I'm a little concerned because I baby my Deck and this is the first time anything's gone wrong with it.
