WireGuard, OpenVPN, or Paid VPN -Remote Work and General Phone Usage in Vietnam - Question

Hi Folks,

Thinking about traveling to Vietnam but may need to do some remote work while there.

Has anyone created their own VPN using WireGuard or OpenVPN to their home to tunnel data from Vietnam to the US to XYZ destination?

• I was thinking about buying some travel router like Gl.iNet Opal Travel Router, setting up wireguard or openVPN to allow multiple devices where i stay at to share the protected connection

What i'm also unfamiliar with is actual speeds in Vietnam using a DIY VPN configuration and how stable it is for something like a Teams call with a share screen session or RDP to a machine type experience.

If WireGuard or OpenVPN are not the best to use, what's a paid VPN that people have had positive experience using in Vietnam?
