Rocks is just a hypetool
So I just caught up with the last five chapters, and yeah, I’m gonna say it — looks like Oda realized Imu didn’t exactly break the internet like he hoped. So what’s the fix? Easy. Drop Rocks D. Xebec out of nowhere like a surprise DLC character.
Don’t get me wrong, yay for new characters, and sure, it’s about time we see the guy who was supposedly one of the strongest pirates ever. But let’s be real — the timing screams “emergency hype injection.”
Rocks was supposed to be this unique, terrifying legend. Instead, we get a mash-up of Luffy’s “I’m free!!!” energy with Blackbeard’s “I’m evil!!!” energy. Basically, a discount fusion. Thanks, Loda. Truly revolutionary storytelling.
